Karamay No. 13 Middle School, founded in 1959, is one of the earliest schools in the development history of Karamay Oilfield. The school, formerly known as Baijiantan School for Workers' Children, is a joint school of Minhan Middle School. In 1983, the Chinese Language Middle School Department independently ran the school. It was built at the current site in the name of "Drilling Middle School". In 1997, it was transferred from the enterprise to the government and renamed as Karamay No. 13 Middle School. In July 2009, the original No.14 Middle School merged into No.13 Middle School to become a Minhan School.

In September 2024, Shaanxi Greelan Science and Technology Development Co., Ltd. and Karamay No. 13 Middle School reached a cooperation agreement on the smart cloud network voice laboratory.
